Canterbury Woods Park

The Equipment
There are two structures at this park including a swing set with two baby swings and two regular swings.  The structure has a tunnel, enclosed slide, side-by-side slide and several climbing apparatus.  The larger structure has a tunnel, wavy slide, spiral slide, side-by-side slide, a few climbing pieces and a whisper phone.
The Scene
Just off Braddock Road, the sign for Canterbury Woods Park is actually past the entrance.  No one was on the playground during my family’s visit, yet the parking lot was full.  My guess is that a lot of people were hiking the trails.  The playground is not fenced nor shaded, but sits a safe distance from the busy road.  There are a pair of picnic tables and benches and a nice stream that loops around the back of the neighborhood.  There is also a playground and basketball court that round out the offerings at this natural park.
Age Recommendation
Toddler to early elementary ages.
Restrooms
None.
