Emery Playground
The Equipment
When you enter, you see three connected transportation rockers. There is a swing set with a bucket and special needs swing. An area is dedicated to music with instruments and gear boards. The first play structure features a pair of binoculars, step climber and both a curved and spiral slide. Bring your ride on toys as there is a small track, which surrounds a small hill with a slide. The second structure is quite large with a suspension bridge, a step climber operated by the person standing on it along with other step climbers and a standing spinner. Climb the rock wall to reach the telescope. There are a few slides here, however, one slide is textured, which can hurt little fingers that can get caught in the metal rollers.
The Scene
Emery Park has a gated and rubberized playground that is chock full of fun. There are also basketball courts, fitness station, athletic field, picnic tables and a parking lot. I recommend coming to the park during day time hours.
