Fairfax Corner Splash Fountain
The Equipment
The interactive fountain is a seasonal feature and sprayground at Fairfax Corner. Located right in front of the movie theater, it is a popular place for summertime fun for local families. The fountain lights up and has intermittent sprays that will make all the kids squeal and giggle. There is a little shade on the outer edges of the square; however be prepared for a hot day. Bring plenty of water and be sure to wear your sunscreen! No food or drink are allowed in the water area, nor are street shoes.
The Scene
This fountain is in the heart of Fairfax Corner, so you’ll find plenty to do if you get tired of playing in the splash fountain. There are tables, chairs and benches located in and around the fountain area. There’s also a ‘stage’ of sorts that kids enjoy playing on as well. Note: the fountain can get crowded, so it’s best to follow the Our Kids rule of arriving early. Make a morning of it and pack a picnic lunch OR bring a change of clothes and head to one of the local restaurants for lunch or dinner.
