The Equipment
I’m so glad to see that this playground will be updated because the first eye sore are the pair of metal slides which would be painfully hot on a summer’s day. The mulch surface is matched by wood on the actual structure – can we say splinters? There is a curl up bar, tic tac toe game board, rusting cargo chain, and a curved plastic slide. I noticed that there is a gap of where there may have been other equipment on this structure at one time. There are also a pair of regular swings. The playground has a nice green area next to it where you could have a picnic or through a Frisbee.
The Scene
Parking is time limited on neighborhood streets so pay attention to the signs. The park features a playground, softball field, multi-use field, tennis courts, and a picnic area. There is a bright sign stating that the playground is due for remodeling in the next year and this is a good thing as the equipment is dated.
