Guy Mason Park

The Equipment
The main attraction of the park is a large climbing structure that leads to a huge metal globe with telescopes.  There is also a high tube slide, a several swings, another large climbing structure, a very big sandbox with a playhouse, a slide with rollers, an igloo to climb and hide in, a big rubber hammock, a smaller climbing structure and slide for tots, a few pieces of balancing equipment, and a big spinning ring kids can sit on.
The Scene
Guy Mason is located on a bustling strip of Wisconsin Avenue just outside of Georgetown.  The playground attracts both neighborhood kids as well as those accompanying their parents on errands or who are out for a bite to eat at one of the many surrounding restaurants.  There is a pizza restaurant, Chipotle, two bagel stores, a Whole Foods, Surfside and many other places to get snacks for lunch within a block or two.  There are plenty of tables, some in the shade, to eat a snack or watch children play.
Age Recommendation
All ages can enjoy the park.  The tot lot is good for babies in bucket swings through about four.
Restrooms
Yes, when the recreation center is open.  With a stroller you must take an elevator up or down to access the restroom. When it’s not, there is a Whole Foods next to the park as well as plenty of other shops and restaurants that allow use of their restrooms with a purchase.
