The new play area at Lakeforest mall, “Adventure in the Forest” opened July 30, 2013. Adventure in the Forest is located at JCPenney Court, replacing the play area formerly at Center Court.  Adventure in the Forest includes an Oak tree, jeep, helicopter and canoe among a Maryland woodland backdrop of Black-eyed Susan flowers, terrapin turtle and a Baltimore Checkerspot Butterfly. The concept is a combination of transportation pieces interspersed with a Maryland theme, and includes built-in seating and cubbies for shoes. It is approximately 760 square feet.,
