Bears Den Trail Center
The Bears Den Trail Center is owned by the Appalachian Trail Conservancy and operated by the Potomac Trail Club. They have a primitive campground, a rustic cottage, a drop-in long distance backpacker hostel as well as a contact for all your hiking needs.
Scouts and groups can spend the night in a secluded stone lodge built in the 1930s. It was originally a private mansion and is a beautiful place just 150 yards from the Appalachian Trail.
At just an hour plus drive from the DC area, there is something for everyone!,
